Physical Therapy

Anne Miskin, PT, BCCPP (Physical Therapist)

I have been a Physical Therapist for almost 40 years, but we are more than the sum of our experiences.  I began practicing in the US Army.  I have worked in hospitals, out patient clinics, nursing homes, and filling in for other therapists.  I have received training through the Upledger Institute in Craniosacral Therapy, Meridian Unwinding, Lymphatic Drainage, Visceral Manipulation, Zero Balancing and MNRI.  I have also attended many Orthopedic joint rehabilitation courses.  In addition to my Physical Therapy License, I became a board certified Polarity Therapist in 2016.

I am more that the sum of my experiences.  I treat from the relationship we foster of love, trust, and compassion for one another.  I treat each person as an individual and at the same time as a part of the whole- family, work, ethnic group, religious or spiritual base.  You are more than the sum of your experiences.

“Your biology is your biography” – Caroline Myss

Just as our intellect, our brain layers information into our nervous system as we learn, breathe, and experience life.  So do the mechanical, spiritual, and emotional stresses of life later into our bodies.  I help you learn to listen to your body, mind, and soul.  I support you through touch, exercise, stretching, prayer, meditation, and nutrition to assist your body to unwind the stresses we each hold. Just as we were created from the inside out in our mother’s wombs, we move and we heal from the inside out.  Each of us have this energy in our body that is constantly creating, healing, and running each of the cells in our body.

Health is the sum of the free flow of this energy throughout our body.  Disease and pain is the stagnation or blockage of this energy.

We are more than our experiences.  We have the potential to tear down barriers, walls and create anew.  I am simply an instrument that can aid you on that journey.
